Tapes, such as VHS, camcorder and Betamax tapes, are merely magnetic particles adhered to plastic tape. Over the course of time, the deterioration of these tapes is inevitable. Storing them in a cool, low humidity environment, playing them infrequently as well as having used a high quality tape helps slow down the degradation process, but all tapes degrade over time.

A customer who requires that we do NOT consolidate smaller reels onto larger reels will result in being charged an additional $10 per reel. Please feel free to come-in and drop off your order anytime during our regular hours (M-F 10-6 & Sat 10-4). Safe Scan (TM) (Zero image contact, gateless and smooth metal guide rollers that only handle the film by the edges, continuous feed, no sprockets or claws).

Our DVDs are very high quality with a 100+ year life expectancy, but that assumes the bottom of the DVD stays clean and unscratched.

Slides or Negatives (Scanned with Professional Film Scanners) We now offer scanning of all size negatives! Our software scans the image prior to writing the file and eliminates minor scratches, dust and fingerprints through the use of Digital ICE technology.

I recently just got to celebrate one of the most important days of my life, my wedding. I was looking for a special way to commemorate the event and really decided that a slideshow of photos of me and my husband would be the best way to do so. I talked to many local shops that could do this however I was not sold and decided to do it on my own, that is until I happened upon Memory Keepers.
After talking to Jay and Kelly I realized that they could actually complete the project that I wanted. Because they are a small business run by just the two of them they were able to put so many personalized touches into the slideshow that would not have been possible if I used another larger company. After showing the video at the wedding there wasn't a dry eye to be seen. I will be coming back for years to come. Thank you so much Memory Keepers!

Went in to have some tapes converted to files. Called a week later to ask about the tapes as we wanted to have them for a gathering to remember the passing of a family member. Guy on the phone could not care less and callously said to me "We are so busy we don't have time for you. We haven't even looked at your tapes yet." I would assume that a place like "Memory Keepers" you would just be a LITTLE nicer and sensitive to people's needs as you are handling their memories.
By looking at the handful of orders on the wall shelf I can't understand that you were too busy for a whole week to even review my order let some fulfill it. I was quoted "at least a few more weeks maybe, I don't know" I decided that instead of going to a sad little shop I would just head to where they service professionals. I brought 4 tapes to PROCAM and they had them converted by the next day. Everyone was super awesome. Service with a huge smile. Prices were fantastic. Don't waste your time, just go to Procam by Fox Valley.

I sent them the following email. I thought I would post it here as well.: Just a quick note to let you know how pleased I am with the 35 mm slides from 1977 that you converted to digital format. I'm so grateful that I had a friend recommend Memory Keepers. They simply did an amazing job on turning all of our old media into a digital format. I brought in dozens of VHS and Hi8 tapes as well as some old movie films. They even transferred some old audio tapes of family member interviews. Everything was put on a hard drive that I could plug right in to my computer.
I feel so good that all of these memories are preserved! Very professional service from Jay and Kelly. They were great to work with and the job was completed in the 2-3 week timeframe that they mentioned.

I had all my Dads old slides put on a DVD so he could watch them. He was thrilled! Thanks Jay and Kelly! Great work! We have also had Memory Keepers put all of our family videos on DVD. They had started to deteriorate and I was worried I would lose all those precious baby videos of my kids! Now we have them forever!
