Denise Shelton
CEO
Denise Shelton enlisted in the US Army Reserves in 1993. Her first military position was in communications. She was a member of a Combat Heavy Engineering Company where she was responsible for the unit's communication systems. During a deployment to Kuwait as an Engineer in 2003-2004, she had a chance meeting with an Army Public Affairs officer from Third Army Central. This officer gave Denise her first glimpse into the world of Public Affairs. Having extensive background as a camera and audio operator with an NBC television news affiliate, WAFF 48 News in Huntsville Alabama, Broadcast Journalism seemed the next most logical step in her career. Upon returning from the 2003 deployment, Denise transferred to an Army Public Affairs unit in Nashville TN. Within one year, Denise completed both long courses in Public Affairs Broadcasting and Public Affairs Writing at the Defense Information School in Ft. Meade, Maryland and became a talented photojournalist for WAFF 48 News. Her work at 48 News resulted in earning her the Alabama Associated Press Broadcasters Association Award.

In 2008 Denise was deployed to Iraq as the Broadcast NCOIC of her unit. During her deployment she produced several news packages and documentaries. Her superbly produced video projects resulted in a forty-one page portfolio of the many civilian news outlets who used her video, to include such outlets as CNN, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, FOX News NY, NBC News NY, ABC News NY, British Television, CSPAN and her former employer, WAFF 48 News, as well as WHNT 19 News and WAAY 31 News.

During the deployment in Iraq, Denise received recognition of her video work in the form of letters, certificates, plaques and the ever coveted, Unit Coins. Upon completion of the deployment Denise was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for her professional and pointed video productions.

Denise is a current member of the Army Reserves Public Affairs and serves as the First Sergeant of her unit. She holds an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Music Recording and Communications. She is currently enrolled in American Military University seeking a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. Her future plans are to work in the field of Environmental documentaries as well as telling heartfelt stories of the people of this globe.

Absolutely speechless!! Words just can not adequately convey our feelings! We have had our concerts recorded before, usually by one of our own performers, and it was a nice momento. Denise and Lynn turned our concert into an absolute work of art!! They were professional and respectful in every way, before, during and after the filming but the end result was a creation we will all cherish for years to come.

Denise and Lynn came to my birthday party and, without disrupting the fun of the party, captured way more than I could have imagined. When I saw the DVD I could not believe they had interviewed each of my siblings and gotten great, memorable stories from our childhood out of them. My mom and dad even added their own tales of my youth. It was one of the most special gifts I have ever received, thanks to the personal care they gave to the project.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I absolutely LOVE it. YOU ROCK!
