We are Derrick and April Look the owners and artists behind Creative Look Studios. Our own love story started nearly 15 years ago, we were college sweethearts, and not long after meeting we joined our creative forces to start Creative Look Studios. We got engaged on picnic point, and have been married for 13 years.Derrick's proposal was a piece of paper rolled up in a film canister.
Creative Look Studios started as an idea to work together, creating art and documenting life with both photography and videography, a few years later this idea blossomed into a full time job for the two of us.

Documenting weddings is our Jam. We've helped over 300 couples with photo and video and been voted 'Best of' by the Knot and WI Bride. We'd love to hear what you have planned! We love to customize your family portrait session as much as possible, working in important details, locations and concepts that are part of your family's story.
Derrick & April took breathtaking pictures of my brother's wedding and I knew we needed some photos from them. The shots Derrick got from a hectic Monday night session of our son are fantastic. We are very happy and recommend them overwhelmingly. April and Derrick shot our engagement, wedding and recently our daughters 6 month pictures.

Generally with a cake smash session we start with some nice pictures of baby on his/her own as well as family photos. Then things get messy. Every child's reaction to a cake smash photography sessions are so different. Some dig right in and make an epic mess. Some take one bite and or smear a little here and there and that's it.

April and Derrick are not only immensely talented, but they were beyond wonderful people to work with for our wedding. With area flooding due to some terrible storms that came through the week of our wedding - combined with rain leading right up until a couple hours before our outdoor wedding, April made my wife and I feel so at ease that everything would be fine and that she would capture many beautiful moments for us.and that she did indeed.

Creative Look Studios was the perfect choice for our (large) family photo. Derrick was a total pleasure to work with. Always responsive and gave great suggestions on how to pick a space that would accommodate our large group. We had 4 children under 4 and Derrick handled the chaos perfectly and captured amazing photos. Turn around time was super fast and the end product was just wonderful. I'll certainly be a return customer and will recommend Creative Look Studios often!

They are not only talented but professional & easy to work with! These 2 are wonderful people who know how to capture special moments! They took my engagement & wedding photos/video. my husband & I are so pleased with the finished product! Their portfolio speaks for itself! but I highly recommend them to anyone!

Creative Look Studios captured video footage of our wedding day in October of 2018. Derrick and April were extremely accommodating to what we needed from a videographer and very easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Derrick seemed to be everywhere - capturing all the highlights of the day, yet was never intrusive. I especially appreciated his ideas and direction while wedding party photos/footage was being taken as well as while my husband and I were having photos/footage taken.
Being someone who has never felt especially comfortable in front of any kind of camera, Derrick's suggestions, direction and ability to know when to sit back and capture more candid moments all solidified my confidence in his abilities. We were extremely happy with the footage he captured and would highly recommend Creative Look Studios!

Derrick was our videographer for our wedding a few months ago. I was so impressed by his professionalism, skill and ability to be discrete with his videography in order to still make our day feel intimate. Derrick worked exceptionally well with our photographer to get the best angles while still staying out of each others shots. Derrick worked hard to get us our video before the holidays to share with family and friends. I would definitely recommend Creative Look Studios to other future brides and grooms!

We absolutely love our wedding film! Derrick was fun and easy to work with, and filmed a lot of special moments without being too intrusive. He was able to capture all of the joy and happy tears from the day and weave it all into a beautiful video that we will cherish forever (I can't stop watching it!).
