Dan took care of four VHS to DVD transfers for us, preserving our family memories and taking great care of our tapes. He's easy to work with and will be our go-to guy for video production and multi-format transfers in the future.

I've heard great things about the VHS to DVD conversions and customer service. However, I emailed to ask about an appointment because I'm unable to make phone calls, but was given a reply to call for an appointment. Was hoping for better accessibility

If I could give 10 stars I would! Dan was the videographer for my daughter's wedding in March of 2018, and I just had to let y'all know how absolutely ecstatic we were with the video and with him. It couldn't have been more perfect. He managed to capture all the feelings and emotions of the day. I don't think he missed a thing from the beginning where the bride and all the bridesmaids were getting ready, to the ceremony, to the very end of the evening. I HIGHLY recommend Dan for all of your special events. You won't be sorry!

I don't typically write reviews but i was moved by the service and the professionalism that I received from Dan! I took all my videos from high school to my college years. I found some lost memories here I thought I lost. My tapes were from video 8, vhs c, dvdm60. Dan- explained his process in great detail. My new bride and I are THRILLED with Dan's work! The care, skill, artistic sense and professionalism he brought to planning, shooting and editing our wedding video just blew us away. The finished product is beautiful and he captured our special day in the most sensitive and creative way. Everything looks gorgeous, the sound is great, just enough "before" and "after, " and so much fun to watch! Totally exceeded our already high-expectations. He did an exceptional job. I finally converted all my VHS tapes to DVDs. Dan was great. There was an issue and it took a bit longer than expected for him to do it since it was over the holiday season but he apologized and didn't charge me the rest of my bill. He is very nice and did a wonderful job. I can now relive the 90s. Thank you Dan!

I have used the services of Moonlight Video Productions many times and have never been disappointed. Dan is always professional and has never been late delivering his services. I have used him to transfer videos from old VHS as well as other dvd's. His prices are extremely fair and he is always willing to accommodate me with my questions as well as delivery dates. Dan always responds quickly to email or phone calls.

Personally I was concerned taking my precious memories of my children to anyone for fear of getting lost or compromised. WOW! Consider our expectations exceeded. Dan was amazing, professional, kind, talented, and so much fun! He put up with all of our wedding parties silly antics and created something so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. Our wedding video turned out to be everything we could have imagined and more! The way he captured each moment of the wedding and reception were unique and special in their own way. And the drone shots were breathtaking. We can't stop watching it. I would recommend this company to anyone! You will not be let down.

My girlfriend found Moonlight through Groupon! and recommended I use them to transfer 6 8mm videos I had from the 8o's! The tapes were very valuable and couldn't be replaced so I was worried about doing the transfer. Also I was concerned with the cost. After meeting Dan, the owner, I was assured of the professionalism and quality of the operation.

I don't understand the negative reviews. It appears THEY may be the problem because I have used Dan's services for years without a hitch. I have also sent others to him without any issues. Misunderstandings can occur but to write such negative reviews seems almost "planned." I would suggest you try him yourself and determine your own conclusion. You may end up very pleased.

I just picked up my order from Moonlight Video in Newbury Park and couldn't be happier. I found out about Dan through Groupon and brought over about 13 tapes to be converted. I needed one asap and he had it back to me within several days. I spent the better part of my evening reviewing the dvds and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I had been putting this off for years and now don't know why it took me so long. My next order will be sent in soon.

To sum up my call to Owner Dan - he could care less about me, my order or what I did with my order. (I wrote the rated G version). I immediately contacted Groupon for a refund and made them aware of what Dan told me on the phone. I took notes so I could quote him (yes, that interesting of a human being). My SECOND conversation (a call from Dan) about the review I posted on Yelp. he claimed to be loosing business and that he did want to "make it up to me". Anyway, Dan a colorful, selfish person who instead of wanting to move forward wanted to be a stickler on his 20+ years in the business.

I mentioned that may be the issue. job burn out and that he forgets what we are seeking from him. I said I would get back to him is 2 weeks. I soon emailed other unhappy customers to get their input. We all kind of agree that, you do not reward bad, unacceptable behavior. Interesting how at this exact date / time a new and favorable review mysteriously posts in his favor.

Way to go Dan! I'm not willing to gamble on something that is irreplaceable. I also do not support people with bad and unethical business practices. My message to Moonlight Video was: Thank you for seeing the errors of your ways (only after financial losses) but No thank you, I'll pass. You can stop calling me now. Good luck and put your best foot forward by practicing the Golden rule (One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself).

This company now has an address in Woodland Hills and Newbury Park, but it is the same telephone number. The problem: they do not return telephone calls. I bought a groupon coupon for 4 transfers to DVD. The coupon said you must call to make a reservation. I called the number in Newbury Park and left a message on the answering machine with my telephone number.

After two days with no return call, I called the number in Woodland Hills. It turned out to be a cell phone and the man was in his car. He said he was on his way to a meeting, but would call me back that night and took down my telephone number. Well, two weeks later and no call. How many time should I have to call them? I no longer trust them to do and return my video tapes in a timely manner. :
