Today we tell these stories in the form of documentaries, mini-docs, live events and short form videos. For corporations, educational institutions and the non-profit world. Whether small budget or large, internationally or around the corner, we never lose sight of the story. Because that is where our heart lives. But now in this never-imagined time of a pandemic, stories take on added importance.
They bear witness to what we are going through; inform us as to the facts - a rare commodity in this post-truth age; demand that our empathy not be quarantined; and compel us to spotlight the gifts of others as we gratefully appreciate our own.

Whenever I am invited to speak about documentary filmmaking, whether to students considering a career in the field or adult aficionados of the genre, I invariably attempt to dissuade anyone from pursuing this career. Because it is so difficult. One spends more time on fundraising than creativity-by a ratio of what feels like 90 to 1.
MICHAEL FINGERHOOD, M.D. Director of Addiction Medicine, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. A haunting, heartbreaking, and tragically truthful look at women and opioids. This film shares the stories of women, and their families, that we need to hear, and will never forget. A powerful, important and much-needed film.
