I work on a variety of productions each year and this year saw work on recruiting, marketing, corporate communications and a documentary that was broadcast state-wide on Wisconsin Public Television. I'm good at coming up with ideas, crafting a plan and budget to accomplish your project goals. Sometimes the story is clear from the start, other times it has to be fleshed out and viewed from different angles, and almost every time it evolves. I love to watch the finished piece because when it's done all you have to do is sit back and listen.

I came up through the broadcast commercial production ranks starting in 1979 at WFRV. Television stations area a great place to develop skills. I later worked at WLUK and have been specializing in marketing, corporate, industrial and broadcast productions since 1986. Industries represented are paper, transportation, medical, foundry, custom machine manufacturing and television but it seems a new category is always poping up.
I always try to have a documentary in the works. It's a great way to stretch a bit and work through a long-form story. I like historical topics and have made films on Door County's lighthouses, the Cana Island Lighthouse, the United States Life-Saving Service and the Niagara Escarpment. Keepers of the Door, Lakeshore Guardians and The Great Ledge all aired on Wisconsin Public Television. I had underwriters that helped me covering the expenses of making the films and was able to give the films to WPT to broadcast.
