Oh my gosh! We absolutely loved working with you. You are just the best! Thank you so much for your hard work. I'll recommend you to all my friends and family. We are so pleased with the video! Even though it's unedited, it is very high quality and it is a precious keepsake we will cherish forever. We were so impressed with your professionalism and your creativity.
You captured some awesome moments! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We had the most special, magnificent day of our lives and you have our deepest gratitude for capturing it so authentically and with such deep care!

Buyer beware. I was married in October 2008, and still do not have our video. This was a $40,000 event, that we entrusted Joel to capture. We paid a fortune for the wedding, and have nothing to show for it. He won't answer our emails or phone calls, and now I have had to divert money from my family, mortgage and student loan payments to sue him.
It is such an unbelievable waste of my time, energy and resources. Joel - people spend hours seeking out "the best" person possible to document their day. almost always intentionally overexerting themselves financially because this video is that important to them. How can you sleep at night, knowing that these people would have been better off in the end spending $400 on someone who was of average talent?
Because at least at the end of the day, they would have had something. To everyone thinking of hiring him, this is an email I received from Joel 9/22/2010: I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you as a valued customer to let you know about what I anticipate will be a negative news story tonight about my company, Wedding Films. WITI-TV FOX Six is doing a story based upon several past customers, who did not receive their videos in a timely manner.
The delay was due to my large workload at the time, which was my fault and I was wrong. During a tough economy, I tried to do too much and in the end, I did not deliver what was promised and I am deeply sorry for that. I accept 100% responsibility for the delays and have since provided those mentioned in the story with their products and have made a significant change to my business to ensure this never happens again.
I am entrusted with preserving memories and precious moments in time and I want you to know I take that very, very seriously. Effective immediately, I am no longer accepting additional video work for 2010 and 2011 to better focus on my clients and their individual project needs. If you have not already been given a firm date of completion for your wedding DVD, please call or email me so that we can discuss that further and establish a firm deadline as soon as possible.
I will also be following up with you as well. ------ To be clear, the firm date on our contract was 10/11/2009. Then it was October 2012. Then April 2014. So on and forth, until he just stopped responding to us completely. Again, I reiterate, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! Don't be fooled by his beautiful 'same day highlight' videos. He puts those on his website to lure clients and gain more business.
I should know, he used ours as the headliner for his website for 7 years before finally taking it down. My wedding (Nick and Lori 2008) made this man a lot of money! Yet he never actually delivered, and he hasn't shown us an ounce of respect in our most recent attempts to get this completed. Joel - do what you said you were going to do in 2010 and 2011.
Stop promoting your business, and stop taking new clients when you are backlogged a decade. Your failure to answer my phone calls and emails suggests you have no intention on completing my video, or fulfilling any other outstanding client commitments. I want to thank you for ensuring that I will never see my dad walk me down the aisle, or the joy on my now deceased grandparents faces on that day.
That my friends and I won't be able to gawk over how great we looked when we were young, and neither will my children when my husband and I are dead and gone. They won't get the privilege of seeing how much their young parents were in love the day they got married. You are a horrible person.

Joel did our wedding in 2014 and it was absolutely AMAZING. We loved him. Everyone that saw our video loved working with him and his work left you in awe. We were at a wedding a year prior to ours and saw his same day edit during the reception and it was phenomenal. After ours, we had multiple family members and friends use him all with the highest reviews.
I don't understand the poor reviews but I can tell you personally and as a guest at multiple weddings where he was the videographer-he will capture your wedding day and it will be such a treasure. Check out ours if you'd like: http://www.weddingfilms.com/amyanddan/

Joel was one of the first people I reached out to after getting engaged. He had done 'same day edits' for a few of my friend's weddings that were so unbelievable that I knew I wanted him to capture our wedding day. This guy is talented, watching him work and produce all the footage by the end of the night is nothing short of unbelievable.
My expectations were surpassed in every aspect. The day of edit video he delivered to us on the dance floor had everyone giggling and sobbing, he captured the emotions and feelings of the entire day. I literally would get divorced and then remarried just to have Joel capture our wedding again. I have had friends and family that weren't at our wedding feel like they were part of it because of his video of our day. THANK YOU JOEL! Thank you for capturing our day in a way we couldn't have ever known to ask for!

If I could leave 0 stars I would, not like it would change anything though because clearly Joel doesn't care about these awful reviews. Same story as others. Married in 2013 and we are still waiting to get our video. Have called and emailed several times to no avail. I've grown another human(several years after our wedding mind you, it wasn't a shotgun wedding!) birthed him and he's now getting ready to crawl and Joel still hasn't given us our video. It's always "I'll be done this week." I don't care when you're done, just set a realistic expectation.
If you tell me it will be done in 10 years, fine we can go with that. Don't tell me it'll be done on Friday and then fall off the face of the earth. Lawyers are no being set in motion, we're done nagging and getting nothing.

Our wedding was on May 30, 2010. After repeated emails, I have yet to receive a response on when we the finished edited product will be completed or any response at all. A few years ago, we received the unedited DVD and we were able to view a 5 minute clip the night of the wedding. It has now been 5 YEARS + since our wedding and we have yet to receive the final version of our wedding video.
It is unacceptable for a business to operate like this. We have paid 50% with the agreement that the other 50% would be paid once the final edited version was complete. We expected a timely delivery of this final version and are completely disappointed. To stress again, Joel was fabulous the day of and quickly turned around the edited sneak peak but I will NOT recommend based on this lack of follow through.

I am so upset that I didn't see these reviews before hiring Joel to shoot our wedding and make us a wedding film. We are getting ready to celebrate our one year anniversary and we still have no wedding film from Joe. we got a lot of excuses, "I'm running this all by myself" to "family issues". Wedding Films has horrible business ethics. we are so disappointed with Wedding Films and Joel Peregrine.

This is my firsthand experience: I was married in 2009 and for two years we struggled to get anything from Joel. He refused to return phone calls and emails. He shows no respect to his clients and for that he should be ashamed. Living out of state made it pretty much impossible to get anywhere with him. My parents even volunteer to just show up at his door on our behalf.
Our first anniversary came and went and we felt like we wanted to strangle Joel. This was far beyond the original due date and enough had become enough. However! We finally started getting some phone calls and emails when we had our attorney contact Joel on our behalf! Who knew that all he needed was a nice little legal letter saying he better hold up his end of the contract.
Even with our attorney's help, Joel missed deadlines for our DVD twice before getting it to us. So 18 months later (thanks for the time frame reminder after reading my original post Joel), many voicemails and emails, & one attorney we FINALLY got our film! Mind you this was 2 weeks after the final due date stated in our legal note. This was also without any communication from Joel via email or phone.
I know the only reason we got our DVD was because we had legal help. The DVD was done to the quality of work I'd expected from Joel. My husband and I were very happy to finally get to relive our wedding day over 2 years later. However, the unprofessional conduct Joel holds himself to is completely unacceptable in my eyes. Do NOT book Joel (Joe) as your wedding day videographer! DO NOT! Yes, the work is well done, but the stress of what Joel will put you through is not worth it. Book with another videographer. FOR CURRENT BRIDES: if you have been trying to get a hold of Joel write a yelp review and he will email you instantly.

UPDATE! After being promised our video on May 31, it is now July 21 and still no video. NOW 33 MONTHS SINCE OUR WEDDING! After several more emails/voicemails, just received a quick email back that he'll "have some answers" for us. I don't want an email, we deserve a CALL -- and not "answers", but time for the VIDEO! Continue to be disappointed. We certainly didn't deserve this, and future prospects don't, either.

We were married on Dec. 19, 2008. As of today (05/24/2013) we still have no video. Joel Peregrine does not respond, and offers only false promises and bogus dates. $1,600.00 down the tubes and all the memories of my wedding lost to a crook. Just filed a claim in court and now I have to spend my time and money getting a product I already paid for. :( He was also featured on Fox Six as this is common for him. BEWARE! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!

We were very disappointed in Wedding Films. It's been over a year and we still have not received our highlight video. We had a multi-day wedding and the videographers were there and on time. It seemed as though they were excited to film our wedding as it was the first time they would be doing an Indian wedding, however we never got a final product.
Not just that, but we have gotten no responses to emails we have sent requesting a status update. We've been really patient, but DO NOT use this company as I don't want the same thing happening to anyone else.

After we received everything we were happy with the video. It is professionally done and the video is high definition and the camera work is well done. We received three DVD's and a blue-ray video as well was all the additional footage for the extra fee. Still the communication should have been better upfront. If it was going to take 7 months to receive a quality product that's ok because good things are waiting for but this was not at all communicated to us in the beginning.
We kept receiving vague emails that hinted that things would be worked out in the near future. In retrospect our experience was not as bad as the news stories. We did receive an exceptional product one well worth the money but the communication and adherence to deadlines could have been better.
