Motion City Films

Motion City Films has created award-winning graphics and animation for Capitol Records, Shout! Factory, Mattel, and a host of others. Our animation has been seen in feature films, on broadcast television, interactive kiosks, on home video, and across the Internet.

Motion City does more than non-linear editing. As a result of our graphic and animation intensive background, we roll graphics, animation, color correction, and digital effects into most editorial sessions. Does it cost more? Of course not! If a project requires a 3D logo or multi-layer composite, we have the tools at hand to make it happen.

We specialize in projects that require a high degree of integration between live-action, animation, and digital effects. These projects might use digital special effects, cartoon-style animation or photorealistic 3D animation. They may require us to learn and visualize how Stealth technology allows pilots to evade radar or how a motion-simulator ride film might work.

Created print logo, stationary assets, and web site. Unfortunately the client requested a different design, which I was happy to provide (see below). This design was created for a street bicycle news site and store. The client will be writing about news and events important to bicyclists in Southern California.

They are delivered to their customers either through the Internet or on CD-ROM. We've built interactive web sites for Brave New Media, Sheppard Associates, and RollerBall. Our expertise also extends to interactive kiosks. We've created several, most notably the prototype for the mall information system "CenterLinq".
