My Mother lived in Tucson for 20 years every time my Brother, Sister and myself would come visit my Mother, (who has now passed) We always looked forward to having fun visiting Old Tucson. We have a lot of great memories, wish it would open up to the public again. I have friend's visiting me from the East Coast and it would have been a fun place to visit.

My family and I visited in 2000. Was very entertaining, from pictures with the bar maid's to watching a western shoot out with bank robbers. You could even take a stage coach ride and get held up by bandits. Take a train ride with the kids around the studio or drive a small car around a track. Also, they had an area where you can pan for gold and many more things to do. Hopefully, they reopen soon and bring back all of the fun!

At Old Tucson there was many famous Westerns and TV shows were filmed on these grounds. I was so surprised that this place was as good as it was. Lots of entertaining exhibits and old wild west reenactments that will keep you busy all day, which are fun for the whole family. All the team members here are very versatile and so friendly.

If there was a zero star I'd have tagged it just now. I ordered the Burnt Ends. Which were almost inedible they were so hard. And to ad insult to injury after about an hour my stomach started growling and within 4 hours I was violently heaving. Then came the fun out of the other end. Stay away people, stay away. Unless food poisoning is a diet plan you relish. It's been 3 solid days and I'll put it kindly, that's the only solid thing I've experienced.

Great place to take the family. Plan on spending the entire day. There are several rides and shows to see. The actors are helpful, friendly, and very funny! My son really enjoyed our visit. Even the shows! If you are visiting in the summer, bring water. You will be spending quite a while outdoors. There gunfight and several shows are held outside with no shade. Definitely would recommend. For the older generation, there is allot of film history to explore.

August 11, 2018 1115 am: Friendly staff, shared the sample platter, large ice tea. Hand rubbed pork ribs were good, sausage good, briskett not too fatty but about 25% burned to much to eat and the rest was somewhat tough. Good AC as it was hot and muggy. Overall I would say try one of the other restaurants. Share because it is a lot of food

Excellent customer service, but the meat is awful. Fatty, rubbery and not a great taste. They offered me something different when they saw I didn't touch the meat, but after tasting my husband's "burns ends", I really had no desire to try any other options. Try the other restaurant on site. Two cowboys tried pointing us in that direction before we ordered here. should have been our clue.

I got the pork ribs platter with coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs tasted old and dry and pretty disgusting, but Old Jakes is one of the only places to eat in Old Tucson, so I ate it anyway against my better judgement. Later in the evening, I began getting violently ill- severe vomiting, dehydration, etc. I was so sick I had to cancel my flight departing Arizona the next day because I was too ill and weak to get out of bed. Now, nearly 48 hours after eating at Old Jakes, I'm still weak and in bed. I would not recommend anyone ever take their chances eating here.

This BBQ restaurant is at Old Tucson Studios. Possibly the worst BBQ I've ever had. Spent $60 for my family and the kids' corn dogs were the best part of the meal. Brisket and burnt ends all tasted like they might have been fresh a few days ago and they went through the microwave a few times since. Bad. The people and service were really good - I have to credit them for that. They even offered free popcorn or ice cream when they found out we didn't like the food.
