Way back in 1985 I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication with an emphasis on Radio & Television production. That experience paved the way for my business ventures in Video Production and Mobile Disc Jockey Work. After working in night club settings as a DJ and freelancing for other video firms I formed Excelsior Video & DJ Service in 1989.

Probably one of the worst videos I've ever purchased. The person who filmed completely disregards basic filming concepts such as head room and lead/nose room. They also completely neglect to capture one liners and punch lines through out the performance. Also at least 3/4 of every movement that the camera makes is awkward, distracting, and completely unmotivated.
Not to mention that the audio consistently peaked throughout the performance and had other problems as well, despite Excelsior's claim that they have "professional audio." It would have been more beneficial for them to just give me a static wide shot of the entire performance. Because of this I emailed them asking for a wide shot of the entire performance and got a response back that basically said "well thats the way I've always done it and people seem to be fine with it." Which is the worst excuse i've ever heard for a bad product because everyone else hasn't been doing professional video for almost 7 years like I have so they may not know what is a good product and what isn't.
Then he proceeded to attempt to charge me an extra $20 for a wide shot of the performance. I emailed him back pointing out that $20 is extremely expensive since he wouldn't have to edit anything and he could literally pull the footage directly from the camera and give it to me raw. He never responded to this. Honestly I have never had to deal with such unprofessionalism and incompetence.
If you are going to offer a service that people pay for then you need to put forth your best effort. Also when someone takes the time out of their day to send you an email the least you can do is respond. I would rather my 3 year old nephew film content for me because the quality of the video will be just as good and at least ill get a little respect.
